Robert Bobby Garrard, a wonderful man of profound kindness and adventurous spirit, known for his dynamic and magnetic personality, passed away peacefully on 11/2/24. He was born on 11/24/32, in Birmingham, AL. Bobby’s life was a testament to the love and dedication he showed to everyone around him.
Bobby, being an avid Bulldog fan, attended the University of Georgia, from 1952 to 1956, where he was the captain of the UGA football team in 1955, wearing jersey #23, under head coach Wally Butts. In 1997, he was inducted into the National Foundation and College Hall of Fame with the Post-Graduate Scholar Award.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, Charles Garrard and Julia Meade along with his brother Chuck Garrard and first wife Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife Ann Garrard, his daughter Lisa Garrard-Rogers (Mark), son Meade Garrard (Detra) and Jerry Crozier and Kelly Kuebler. He was the proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his story telling, fabulous smile and never meeting a stranger. To know him was to love him.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Mowell Funeral Home, Peachtree City.
