With heavy hearts and profound respect, we announce the passing of Lois Evelyn Burke at the age of 92. Born in the lush landscapes of Wisconsin on September 16, 1932, Lois departed this life peacefully in Peachtree City, Georgia, on All Souls Day, November 2, 2024.

Lois began her remarkable journey with the FBI, showcasing her dedication and determination early on. Her professional path later led her to work with NCR, where she continued to shine with integrity and diligence. Lois also contributed to her community as a poll official, embodying her belief in civic duty and service.

Her life was characterized by her unwavering love for her family and an adventurous spirit that took her across various travel adventures. This passion for exploration and discovery was only matched by her joy in spending quality time with her loved ones. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she often said that they brought immense joy to her heart. Her home was known for having the best playroom around, a testament to her nurturing love and playful soul.

Lois’s leadership extended beyond her family; she was a past president of the Woman’s Guild and was deeply involved in her faith community as a founding member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Her marriage to Thomas Burke, which spanned 70 extraordinary years, was a beacon of enduring love and partnership.

Preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Mae Potter, Lois leaves behind a legacy of resilience, warmth, and love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Burke; daughters Kim (Gary) Griffith and Jill (Paul) Bureau; sons Patrick (Tracy) Burke and John (Cheri) Burke; as well as ten cherished grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Lois’s life was a testament to the beauty of love, the joy of family, and the power of giving back. Her indomitable spirit and compassionate heart will forever inspire all who knew her. As we remember Lois Evelyn Burke, we celebrate a life filled with grace, kindness, and a legacy that continues through the many lives she touched.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM –6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
