Denise Jolly, born January 13, 1952, in Griffin GA to George and Gladys Prothro, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Clay Prothro. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Al Jolly, her brother Chuck Prothro and his wife Janet of Griffin, GA, and her children: Heather Galloway (Thom) of Kennesaw GA; Ryan Jolly (Sheri) of Peachtree City GA; Christian Jolly (Hilary) of Dacula GA; Michael Jolly (Heather) of Smyrna TN; and Maureen Ingram (Graham) of Fayetteville GA.
Denise cherished her role as Mamaw to Alexander, Elizabeth, and Brandon Galloway; Caleb, Daniel, and Charlotte Jolly; Taylor, Cole, and Savannah Lynn Jolly; and Amelia and Benjamin Ingram.
Denise was a proud graduate of Griffin High School, Class of 1970. She was a devoted member of Dogwood Church in Peachtree City/Tyrone and played a significant role in the church’s bread ministry, helping to provide food for those in need long before the establishment of the Real-Life Center. She served as the team leader for the coffee team for many years.
Denise dedicated her life to serving others, sharing her faith, and witnessing the love of Jesus, even in her final days at Piedmont Fayette Hospital.
Denise’s spirit will live on through the countless lives she touched with her kindness and faith.
In honor of her legacy of compassion and service, in lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Dogwood Church or The Real Life Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the Dogwood Church, Tyrone. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
