Born on a family farm, Jeanette spent her early years working the land she loved so dearly before moving to the Midwest to start a family. In 1970, Jeanette moved to Georgia with her family, where she lived until her passing.

Jeanette was the rock of her family and a moral guiding light, known for her unwavering support and undeniably bright spirit. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, becoming a source of strength for those around her.

Jeanette will be remembered for her laugh, grit, and unparalleled generosity. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family, filling the home with laughter and warmth. An exceptional cook, Jeanette could whip up Southern meals from memory that brought everyone together. Her dishes, rich with heart and influenced by her Appalachian upbringing, were a reflection of her deep love for those she cherished.

Beyond her family, dogs were her constant companions, and she cared for them with the same tenderness and devotion she showed to everyone she loved. Whether it was a quiet morning with a cup of coffee or cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs on a Saturday afternoon, Jeanette found joy in the simple moments that brought her close to those she held dear.

She is survived by her daughter, Chevelle Gallagher Hall (Edward), and her grandchildren, Ethan Gallagher (Ian) and Adam Gallagher (Alex) of Washington, DC, Josh McClendon (Danielle) of Largo, FL, McKensye Hall of Wilmington, NC and Kelsye Hall of Charlotte, NC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her son, Stephen Neubrander, and her husband, John Neubrander.

Though life is painfully short, the memories we hold and the values Jeanette, or “Mamaw,” instilled in us will live on forever. Her love, strength, and indomitable spirit will continue to guide us, reminding us that while her time here has ended, the impact she made will endure in the hearts of those who knew her. In every warm and bright moment in an often cold and dark world, her legacy lives on.

Jeanette’s celebration of life will be held at Mowell Funeral Home in Peachtree City, GA on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM (viewing at 10:30 AM) followed by a graveside burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park, GA.

The family requests attendees to wear red and black, in honor of Jeanette’s favorite football team, the Georgia Bulldogs.
