Isabella Holgate Lisborg, age 95, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Isabella was born on October 21, 1928, in Philadelphia, PA., to the late Frederick and Agnes Holgate.
Isabella, known for her unwavering dedication to the church and her vibrant spirit, left behind a legacy of faith and joy. As a lay speaker for the United Methodist Church for many years, she inspired countless individuals with her heartfelt messages and trainings.
Her strong alto voice resonated in numerous choirs, including her time with the Sweet Adelines. Isabella was well-traveled and embraced life with enthusiasm, living each day to the fullest. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan, GA.
The graveside service honoring Isabella’s life is Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, 147 Price Road, in Brooks, GA.
Along with her parents, Isabella is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lisborg. She is survived by her sons, John Lisborg and Paul Lisborg, his wife Jennifer, and grandchildren Emma and Nathan. Additionally, Isabella leaves behind her cherished sister, Vivian Rossi.
