Glenda “Skeeter” Cole Skipper, born April 17, 1948, in Atlanta, Georgia. Skeeter peacefully passed away June 6, 2024, in Griffin, Georgia at 76 years of age.
Throughout her life, Skeeter dedicated herself to service and professionalism. She served with honor and distinction in various roles, including at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office from 1966 to 1978, the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office from 1984 to 1992, and as the office manager at Harvey Watt & Co. Insurance for 20 years until her retirement in 2021.
Skeeter is preceded in death by her beloved husband, T.E. Skipper, her father Glenn H. Cole, and her mother Louvale Chandler Cole. She is survived by her son Jay Coogler (Carrie Hambrick) and her daughter-in-law Serena Coogler (Jon Stanford).
A visitation in memory of Skeeter will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Mowell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fayetteville. The funeral service to honor her life will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
