Angela Louise Isaacs Smith Powell died peacefully on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at her home in Peachtree City, Georgia.
Angela was born in Miles City, Montana, on December 2nd,1936, to her father William L. Isaacs (d. 1960) and her mother Cecilia Kronenberger Isaacs (d. 1990).
Her siblings include Marie Dawes, U.S. Marines (Moriarity, NM), the late Phillip Isaacs, U.S. Army, the late William Isaacs, U.S. Air Force, and Carol Wilson (Perris, CA).
She was a loving wife to Theodore Smith, U.S. Navy, (KIA d. 1960) and Teddy Powell, U.S. Navy retired (d. 2002).
She is survived by her three children, daughter Ahnelt Regis (spouse Ted Regis) of Peachtree City, GA, daughter Melanie Hester (spouse Steve Hester) of Hurdle Mills, NC, and son Dr. Stephen Powell, U.S. Navy (spouse Kim Powell) of Senoia, GA.
Angela had 6 grandchildren, Tony Powell (d. 2023), Tina Keeler, Jenny Fowler, Sarah Powell, Matthew Powell, U.S. Air Force, and Katherine Roettger and 7 great grandchildren Steven Smith Powell, Kayla Keeler, Brianna Connolly, Claire Wolfe, Ella Powell, Charlotte Powell, and Barrett Roettger.
Ms. Powell was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City, GA for 25 years. She served as a teaching assistant at Draper Elementary School (Eden, NC) for 30 years before retiring and moving with her husband Teddy to Peachtree City in 1999.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 101 Walt Banks Road, Peachtree City, GA on June 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
