Mr. Ward L. Scranage Sr. of Peachtree City, Ga.

Mr. Ward L. Scranage Sr. of Peachtree City, GA passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. He was born in Taylor County, WV on January 8, 1935, a son of the late Kenneth W. and Ethel M. (McDonald) Scranage.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Laura Lee (Bradley) Scranage. He is survived by his children; Lyal Scranage and his wife Cheri of Senoia, GA and Lori Beth Matthews and her husband, Michael of Berkeley Lake, GA; grandchildren, Dana Starr, Adam Scranage, and Ryan Matthews; great grandchildren, Victor, Zac, Colton, Aliza, Isaac, and Willow.

After graduating from Grafton High School with the Class of 1952, Mr. Scranage served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He then worked for USAir for 30 years.

Ward enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a funny story. He will always be remembered as Ward L, Dad, Grandpa, Papa, and Uncle Ward.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. Donations can be made online or be mailed to Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
