Patricia “Pat” McCall Grunden

Patricia “Pat” McCall Grunden, born May 28, 1944, passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 82.
Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John C. Grunden, who passed away in 2008; her parents, Dallas Kever McCall and Dorothy Heaton McCall; her grandparents, Ransom and Juanita McCall; and her siblings, Dallas Ransom McCall, Jeralene Mollie McCall, Sue McCall Kuhne, and Edith McCall Blair.
She is survived by her brother, Bob McCall; her son, Marc Grunden, and his wife, Sena; and her cherished grandchildren, Jackson, Charlsie, and Luke in addition to many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Pat was married to the love of her life, John C. Grunden, for 43 years. Together, they built a life centered on family, service, and a shared passion for politics. Pat served as Finance Director for the Georgia office of Speaker Newt Gingrich, a role that reflected both her dedication and her strong interest in the political process.
Pat and John also devoted many years to volunteering with the North Georgia Civitan Club, where they worked tirelessly to raise money for Camp Big Heart. Their commitment to serving others was an important part of the life they shared together.
Pat was a member of North Fayette United Methodist Church. She treasured time with her family and especially enjoyed trips to the beach and to her hometown of Brevard NC. An avid reader, she could often be found with a book in hand and always appreciated the opportunity to become immersed in a good story. In her later years, she especially enjoyed befriending the neighborhood children and took great joy in making special goodie bags for them each Christmas.
Above all, Pat loved her family deeply. Her greatest joy came from the people closest to her, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, devotion, service, and wonderful memories. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
