Monique Louise Webb, 72, of Fayetteville passed away March 11, 2024. She was born in Lille, France on February 11, 1952, to the late Louis Desire and Marcelle Paulette Aurelan.

Monique came to the United States as a foreign exchange student in 1969 when she was 17 years old. After graduating with honors at Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe Springs, California, she obtained an associate degree at Rio Hondo College in Los Angeles.

Home on leave from the Army in 1971, Chuck met Monique for the first time with mutual friends while she was working at a Woolworths Department Store. Intrigued by her accent and good looks, he struck up a conversation with her. One thing led to another, and he asked her out on a date. The rest is history!

An avid photographer, Monique could always be found with a camera in hand and was on a never-ending quest for the “perfect” shot. Her other passions and interests included her family, reading, animals (specifically cats), and studying the history of her native country, France.

Monique was preceded in death by her son Chad Louis Webb; six siblings; and her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Chuck Webb, Jr.; her sons, Eric (Kristi) Webb and Nick (Arica) Webb; her daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Weaver; grandchildren Meagan, Adrien, Reese, and MacKenzie; sister, Francoise (Robert) Baron; brother-in-law, Glen (Fran) Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.

We welcome you to provide your condolences, thoughts, and memories on our Tribute Wall.
