Kimberly Borders McNair, 53, of Zebulon, Georgia, passed away after fighting for 12 years against cancer on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
She was born in Newnan, Georgia to Steven Foster Borders and Vicki Thompson Borders on Sunday, February 7, 1971.
Kim is a graduate of Fayette County High School (class of 1989) and also earned a Masters Degree in Education. She loved being a schoolteacher at Mt. Zion Elementary and Kemp Elementary. She was an active member of Rock Springs Church.
Kim felt that her greatest accomplishments were her children. She loved football, the Georgia Bulldogs, being at the ballfield and cheer competitions, and loved spending time at the lake or the beach. Kim was the sweetest person ever, had a heart as big as Texas, and never met a stranger.
She is preceded by her father Steve Borders and her brother Matt Borders. Kim is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jim McNair of Zebulon, Georgia; children, Julia Reese McNair, Victoria Grace McNair, and Jacob Scott McNair; her mother, Vicki Borders; sister, Haley Borders (Andy) Brown; her sister-in-law, Melissa Logan Borders; niece, Ella Borders; and nephews, Anderson Brown; and Bowen Brown.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Pastor Cameron Shiflett officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Kim will be laid to rest at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
