Constance (Connie) Faye Byerly Yerger, 59, of Peachtree City GA, died as a result of multiple health struggles, on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

She was born in Columbia, SC, April 25, 1964, to Mel and June Byerly, and soon thereafter moved to Vienna, VA where she was raised. Connie attended Dunn Loring Elementary, Joyce Kilmer Intermediate and George C. Marshall High School before completing a B.A. in Education from Longwood University in VA. She later received a master’s degree.

Connie’s teaching career found her teaching a variety of ages in Virginia, Florida, and Fayetteville, GA. She was dedicated to Special Ed classes and frequently tutored on the side, loving Math the best.

Since moving to Peachtree City in 2007, Connie was involved in a wonderful women’s group at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church and cherished the friends she made there. Many stories of laughter, support and great lunches were shared.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Anthony Yerger, also a teacher, and parents Mel and June Byerly. She is survived by two sons, Damian and Alexander, daughter-in-law Sabrina and grandchildren Adrian, Aspen and Braelinn. Connie is also survived by one sister, Jean (Lee) Borgman of Hardy, VA and two brothers, Joe (Heidi) Byerly of Fayetteville, GA and Andy (Jean) Byerly of Stanardsville, VA.

The family will host her memorial service on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church, 101 Peachtree Parkway, Peachtree City GA 30269.
