James (Jim) Harold O’Brien Sr., 79, of Peachtree City, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, August 6. Jim was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on May 24, 1944.
Jim was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sharon; his children James Jr., Michael, Matthew, and Kelly Shank; his grandchildren Savannah, MacKenzie, Bailey, Jacob, and Jackson; his great-grandsons Mason, and Liam, his siblings Carol, Cheridan, William, John, Robert, David, and the only Auburn fan that he ever loved with his whole heart Andrew Clarke.
Jim was an active member of Peachtree City and the surrounding communities since he arrived here in 1976. Jim loved the Lord and was always ready to serve his church family in any capacity he could. He also found joy in serving as a Scoutmaster, youth coach, and Youth referee. Over the years, Jim filled several leadership roles for the American Legion and always loved the opportunity to assist with their Boys State Program. Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He will be missed by all who knew him.
