Starr’s Mill Theatre wins Shuler Award

A Panther production was honored as one of the best in the state with a Shuler Award. Starr’s Mill High Theatre won a Shuler Hensley Award for their production of “Anastasia: The Musical.”

Fashioned after Broadway’s Tony Awards, the Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards (The Shuler Hensley Awards) program celebrates excellence in high school musical theatre. The awards are named in honor of actor/singer and Georgia native, Shuler Hensley, winner of the prestigious Tony Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, and Drama Desk Award. The year-round program embodies a spirit of camaraderie and celebration for the arts in high schools across Georgia.

Students involved in the production are Katie Williams, Aleena Soto, Hayden Andrews, Matthew Little, Alexis Wiest, Kylie Levins, Ethan Gibbas, Eli Preuer, Mia Morrow, Sophie Biel, Will Hampson, Charlie Rosenbuger, Emery Brubaker, Natalie Lutman, Seth Manuel, Kyan Hendrie, Emily Steele, Rosie Miller, Cutter Quinton Hayes, Nick Steiner, Abby McSpadden, Nathalia Herrera, Anthony Devarez, Akwi Songwe, Eliza Little, McAllister Stanford, Adelyn Carruthers, Maddox Hirsch, Avrey Bradley, Karis Heim, Marey Burgess, Delani Gatson, Bella Klein, Sawyer Ratliff, and Riley Gibbas.
