The Mountain Lions are making music magic in the new keyboard lab at Sara Harp Minter Elementary.
A 30-person MIDI keyboard lab was purchased by the PTO at SHMES to allow students to practice proficiency in piano. Students in grades 2-5 have attended the lab this year with plans for K-5 to receive lessons beginning in the fall of 2023.
“Students are engaged in learning and excited to come back each week,” said music specialist Alison Kirkland. “They are becoming confident in their piano skills and feel proud of their accomplishments!”
