Flat Rock Middle’s Eagle Robotics soared above the competition at the FIRST LEGO League West Georgia Regionals, winning the Champion’s Award.

Team SPARK (Solar Powered Amazing Robotics Kids) won the top honor for their research project, robot design, robot game and their demonstration of FLL’s core values.

Following this season’s theme of “Super Powered,” teams were tasked with reimagining a better energy future by identifying a specific problem related to the energy journey. The solution could be about where energy comes from, how it’s distributed, stored or used.

Teams members are Sam Greeson, Gavin Neely, Abel Clements, Lincoln Thompson, Cayleb Clamser, John Wamsley, and Rylee Osterink. They are coached by Melissa Lohr and Darryl Hutchinson.

The team automatically advances to Super Regionals this January.
