NORFOLK, Va. – Lt. Alex Ashley, a native of Peachtree City, Georgia,
serves the U.S. Navy assigned to Airborne Command and Control Squadron
120 supporting the E-2D carrier airborne early warning aircraft, known
as the Hawkeye.

Ashley joined the Navy four years ago.

“I joined the Navy for the career opportunities of the military,”
said Ashley. “I wanted to do something where I could respect myself.
Plus, the opportunity to fly was a huge draw.”

Growing up in Peachtree City, Ashley attended Starr’s Mill High School
