September 17, 2022, marks the 235th anniversary of the 1787 Constitutional Convention where the Constitution of the United States was finalized and signed, thus outlining the fundamental principles by which our nation is governed.  Constitution Week, September 17–23, affords the opportunity for all citizens to learn about Georgia’s role in the history of our nation’s founding documents.
From the Proclamation:
“Now, Therefore, I, Kim Learnard, Mayor, on behalf of the City Council of Peachtree City, do hereby proclaim September 17-23, 2022, as Constitution Week in Peachtree City and ask our citizens to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the Constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.”
