Judson William Byrd, Jr., 63, of Concord, Georgia, passed away August 28, 2022. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 24, 1959, to Judson William Byrd, Sr., and Macie W. Byrd.

William was a Master Plumber and resided in Fayette County for more than 35 years. During this time, William had a successful plumbing company which specialized in new construction.

Later, William moved to Pike County where he was a member of Hollonville United Methodist Church and served as the church’s custodian. He continued his career plumbing custom homes. He was a dedicated craftsman who took pride in the quality of his work. If William was not working, he was helping a friend or spending time with his family. William is loved dearly by his family and friends and will forever be in our hearts.

Judson is preceded in death by his father, Judson William Byrd, Sr. He is survived by his loving mother, Macie W. Byrd; sisters, Brenda Byrd Douthit, and Cindy Byrd Mullis; nephews, Judson (Mandy) Morrison, and Jon (Sami) Morrison; nieces, Macie Mullis, and Will (Izzy) Mullis; great-nephews, Judson Michael Morrison, and Jameson Mullis; great-nieces, Karsen Mullis, and Adia Mullis; as well as extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 2, 2022, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
