Betty Jean Pitts Pool, 77, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away in her home on Monday, January 17, 2022, at 7:58 A.M. surrounded by her loving husband and three daughters. She was born on December 12, 1944, to the late Owen and Mavis Pitts.
Betty was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave unconditional love to all her children and grandchildren. This extended to her nephews and nieces that she shepherded though the years.
Her Christian love was fed though her long standing membership at Stewart Avenue Baptist Church in Hapeville and then at Heatherwood Baptist Church in Riverdale.
She worked as a data entry specialist for many years at Warner Lambert and later at Dixie Aerospace where she retired from.
She enjoyed spending time with her family at her lake house in Alabama and on family trips. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and letting the waves wash away the trials of everyday life.
Betty will be greatly missed by those that love her, but we know she is in God’s presence now, free of the pains of the world.
Go rest high on that mountain, your journey is done, true and faithful servant of God.
Betty is survived by her loving and faithful husband, William “Bill” H. Pool; her daughters, Denese Bohannon, Cynthia Pool, and Denise (Allen) Dubberly; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Carlos) Rodriguez, Franklin (Lacy) Dubberly, Erin (Kearston) Bohannon, Hallie Burbaker, Zachariah (Sam) Dubberly, and Duncan (Stephanie) Dubberly; her sisters, Edith Pitts and Joyce Spears; as well as eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2022, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
