Junior Past Commandant John Caldwell, Newnan (left in photo), presented the Individual Meritorious Commendation to Randy Haynes, Fayetteville,for his work as paymaster of the Sgt. Clyde Thomason Medal of Honor Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Haynes was served several years and manages the funds for the detachments and distributes the tens of thousands of dollars in local donations each year to charities supported by the detachment. The local detachment, which serves Coweta and Fayette Counties, meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Christ the King Church, 4881 Hwy. 34 E., Sharpsburg. All honorably discharged Marines, FMF Navy Corpsmen and FMF Navy Chaplains are welcome to attend and join. For more information, email [email protected]
