Cardinals create characters in Computer Science

The Cardinals are hi-tech. Crabapple Lane Elementary is a pilot school for computer science, and they are staying on the cutting edge of education by learning programming.

First graders visiting technology teacher Jennifer Stroud’s classroom learned how to create their own characters and backgrounds. Using Scratch Jr., an introductory programming language that teaches students to create their own interactive stories and games, the Cardinals practiced with paint tools to mold their own designs.
