Kevin Lee Minot, age 63, of Tyrone, GA, passed from this world into God’s Kingdom in Heaven on May 29, 2020. Mr. Minot was preceded in passing by his loving wife, Pamela Faye Minot, and his mother, Marion Minot. He is survived by his precious daughter, Amelia Minot of Tyrone, and a sister, Veda Palo of Chandler, AZ.
Mr. Minot spent the first 19 years of his life in what he felt was the greatest city in America to be a child, Pawtucket, RI. He graduated from William E. Tolman High School in 1975 and furthered his education by receiving a Bachelor of Human Resource Management degree from Saint Leo University.
Mr. Minot proudly served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Army retiring in 2000 at the rank of Master Sergeant. Upon retirement from the Army Mr. Minot worked as a management analyst for the Federal Government at Fort McPherson, GA for 10 and a half years until the base closed in 2011.
After his second retirement Mr. Minot faithfully served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as a member of Living Proof Church. Mr. Minot was an active small group leader, Bible study facilitator, church administrator, Chief Financial Officer, prayer team leader, Elder grounds keeper, and fulfilling any other need that may have arisen at the church.
When not serving at his church, he enjoyed gardening, morning walks with friends at Shamrock Park, general yard work, caring for all of God’s creatures that may have wondered through his yard, and helping neighbors when a need arose.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 2 o’clock in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Pastor Scott Smith officiating. Interment will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
