A Lawrenceville man in custody in the Gwinnett County Jail had been charged with multiple offenses in the April 19, 2019 armed robbery at the AT&T store on South Glynn Street in Fayetteville.

Stephan D. Profitt-Long, 28, was charged with armed robbery by intimidation, aggravated assault and false imprisonment, according to Fayette County Jail records.

Fayetteville Police Department spokesperson Ann Marie Burdett said Proffitt-Long on Feb. 4 was arrested on outstanding warrants for armed robbery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment stemming from April 19, 2019 armed robbery of the AT&T cell phone store located at 455 South Glynn Street.

“During the course of the investigation, evidence was located which led to the arrest of the suspect,” Burdett said. “The investigation also suggests that Proffitt-Long was linked to other cell phone store armed robberies in the metro Atlanta area.”

As reported at the time, the robbery was committed at approximately 9:30 a.m. The suspect was described as a black male, between 5’8” and 6 feet in height, with an average build and wearing a gray hoodie with UCLA lettering.

The man was seen entering a dark-colored Lexus four-door sedan.

“No injuries were sustained. The victim was placed in fear for their life by the use of an offensive weapon,” Burdett said.
