Fayetteville, Georgia – November 27, 2024 –The City of Fayetteville Fire Department has canceled the 2024 Ford F-150 pickup truck raffle. Ticket sales were not meeting the levels necessary to conduct the drawing within a reasonable time frame. The Department is working with The Eden Project to refund participants who purchased raffle tickets.

Proceeds from the second-annual fundraiser were to benefit the Fire Department’s fire safety education programs as well as the work of Fayetteville-based The Eden Project, whose mission is to help military veterans reacclimate to civilian life.

“We appreciate the support we received from the public, our City of Fayetteville leadership, Fayetteville Ford, and especially from The Eden Project,” said Fayetteville Fire Chief Linda Black. “It was a difficult decision to cancel this fundraiser, but we had to be realistic. We will definitely keep moving forward with other initiatives to meet our public outreach goals.”
