Peggy Darlene Davis, 68, of Fayetteville, Georgia, passed away Friday, January 31, 2020. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday, February 10, 1951, to the late Tom L. and Pearly Mae Dennard.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Scott Davis, Sr.; and two sons-in law, Mark Fields and George DeGraff. She is survived by her daughters, Kim Fells (Charlie) and Michelle Fields; step-sons, Robert S. Davis, Jr. (Nancy), George Davis (Susan), and Gus Welborn (Rachel); step-daughters, Elizabeth Stephens (Darrell); and Becky DeGraff; nineteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; her brother, Thomas A. Dennard; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Peggy grew up in East Point but was a long-time resident of Fayetteville. She retired from over 30 years of service to the Fayette County Board of Education. She was active in teaching preschool and GA’s at Fayetteville First Baptist for many years, but currently held her membership at Harps Crossing Baptist Church prior to her passing.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 3, 2020, at Harps Crossing Baptist Church, 1183 GA-92, Fayetteville, Georgia. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 PM on Sunday, February 2, 2020, at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
