For decades, Charlie Filkins has been helping people in public and in private, and now he’s heading up a team of automobile service experts at AutoNation Ford Lincoln in Union City to help you solve your car or truck problems.
You may know Charlie — a 30-year Coweta County resident — from his stints as an auto expert on “Car Guys” both on local cable and on a Columbus, Ga., television station, as well as a talk radio host on “High Octane Radio” broadcast on The Bear FM.
“I’d like folks to know what we have here I invite them to our full-service facility — sales, service, collision, great staff and personnel at all positions. Come by and say hello to me.”
You may also have met Charlie in his multiple roles working with the Downtown Development Authority in Senoia for the Memorial Day celebration and festival, the Cruising to Oldies car show and Light Up Senoia celebration, as well as The DRV PNK program through AutoNation.
“This October we are celebrating a milestone,” Charlie says. “Through DRV PNK, we’ve donated more than $20 million to cancer research, treatment, and support services.”
With the support of his wife, Cindy, and their five children, Charlie has been serving area residents through volunteering with the Up In Smoke BBQ event, United Way of Coweta, and Change Your Brain Foundation, as well as organizing charity cruses.
Aa a genuine Car Guy with decades of repair experience, Charlie is uniquely qualified to take your auto service needs to a new level of satisfaction as Service Manager at AutoNation Ford Lincoln.
“When you come into our service department in Union City, I’ll get to know you, introduce you to our best Service Advisor for your problem to do a check-in process, and get your vehicle to the proper technician,” Charlie explains.
“I want this to be a good interaction for you, a good experience from start to finish,” Charlie says. “We want to make sure that what was a problem for you is handled completely and turn that around.”
“Charlie is training seven Service Advisors to reach new levels of customer service,” says Bill Miller, General Sales Manager at AutoNation Ford Lincoln in Union City. “He is stepping up customer service.”
“I’ve learned it’s all about the people, just take care of the customer,” Charlie says. “The experience should be one that is pleasant and leaves the customer wanting to return for future services, and willing to refer a friend or family member due to the experience and customer care provided. We want them to place their trust in us for all their service needs.”
