After being recognized as the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History 2019 Georgia History Teacher of Year, Karrie Palmer and her fourth-grade class were visited by Georgia School Superintendent Richard Woods to celebrate Constitution Day, a federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution.

To honor this historic day in America, Woods personally handed every student in Palmer’s fourth grade class a limited-edition copy of the Constitution; the copies were customized with his signature.
