Tyrone, Peachtree City and Fayetteville ranked as safe cities

Crime data compiled by SecurityBaron.com shows Tyrone, Peachtree City and Fayetteville as three of Georgia’s safest cities. Tyrone ranked No. 4, followed by Peachtree City at No. 8 and Fayetteville at No. 26.

Though the data used by Security Baron is a bit dated (using FBI’s 2016 and 2017 Uniform Crime Reporting data), it does show the relative comparison between 98 municipalities across the state.

For Tyrone, data showed 1.65 violent crimes per 1,000 residents and 8.68 property crimes per 1,000 residents. The 2-year data comparison showed an upward trend in violent crimes and a downward trend in property crimes. The company gave Tyrone an overall safety score of 85.37.

For Peachtree City, data showed .4 violent crimes per 1,000 residents and 16.74 property crimes per 1,000 residents. The 2-year data comparison showed a downward trend in violent crimes and an upward trend in property crimes. The company gave Peachtree City an overall safety score of 80.78.

For Fayetteville, data showed 1.92 violent crimes per 1,000 residents and 26.37 property crimes per 1,000 residents. The 2-year data comparison showed an upward trend in violent crimes and a downward trend in property crimes. The company gave Fayetteville an overall safety score 72.77.

The Top 10 safest cities cited in the report, in ranking order, were Johns Creek, Milton, Braselton, Tyrone, Holly Springs, Hampton, Kennesaw, Peachtree City, Flowery Branch and Roswell.
