Loudoun South Little League wins the 2019 Little League Baseball Southeast Region Tournament — 

Georgia watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 12-2 loss to Virginia on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

Virginia took the lead on a home run in the first inning. Georgia struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Virginia, giving up 12 runs.

In the first inning, Virginia got their offense started when Justin Lee hit a solo homer.

Virginia scored six runs in the fifth inning with home runs by Justin Lee and Colton Hicks and a single by Matt Coleman.

Justin Lee got the win for Virginia. He allowed four hits and two runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking zero. Liam Thyen threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Austen Davis took the loss for Georgia. He went four innings, allowing five runs on four hits and striking out two.

Virginia smacked four home runs on the day. Colton Hicks had a long ball in the fifth inning. Justin Lee had a homer in the first and fifth innings. Chase Obstgarten went yard in the second inning.

Landon Justice, Will Roan, Kyle Rudolph, and Ryan Melton each collected one hit to lead Georgia.

Virginia tallied 11 hits in the game. Colton Hicks and Justin Lee all managed multiple hits for Virginia. Colton Lee led Virginia with three hits in four at bats.
