Aurea “Nena” Carames Cera of Peachtree City passed away Wednesday, May 08, 2019.
Nena was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in Pontevedra, Spain and Havana, Cuba.
A graduate of Havana Convent School, she attended Brenau College, Gainesville, Ga. where she met and married her husband, Joseph A. Cera, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry Braswell and her husband, Sid of Turin; six grandchildren, Joe, Nicci, Natalie, Ashley, Sidney and Kristin; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Eudosia Ventin Carames; spouse, Joseph A. Cera, Jr.; sons: Joseph L. Cera and Gene L. Cera.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, Ga. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a great love for her family and was a much-loved caregiver to her husband. She was an expert seamstress and an outstanding cook! She was loved by all!
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City.
