James Raydean Blanton, 83, of Fayetteville passed away December 23, 2018. James was born on January 20, 1935 in Canton, Ga. to the late Jess and Estelle Blanton.
He served in the US Army. James worked for the FAA as a mechanic until his retirement.
James is survived by his wife, Joyce Blanton; daughters, DiAnne (Brian) Kingston, DeNeese Blanton, and DeLayne Blanton; five grandchildren; sisters, Bea Andrews, Betty Brown, and Ann Smith; and brother, Randy Blanton.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Mr. Glen Gosa officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends Friday, December 28, 2018 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
