Wanda Faye Smith passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones December 6th 2018 at 3:09 a.m. She fought a long hard up hill battle for the past four years that eventually took her from us.
She is survived by her husband Ryan and her four children Brittney, Amber, Savannah and Max. She also leaves behind her sister Jennifer and brother Will. Wanda was a young age of 43 at the time of her passing, and though her life was cut too short she did not leave this world with regrets or missed opportunities for she has achieved more in this short time than many do over a lifetime. She is the strongest woman we have ever known and showed that to anybody who would ever be in her presence. She was a beloved wife and a nurturing mother and though she is not with us here on earth her spirit lives on in all of us as her legacy that will carry on in our family. Wanda can be summed up in four words (Strength, Determination, Grace, and Beauty). These are the things that will remain with our family for the rest of our lives. We invite close friends and family to celebrate her life with hugs and smiles to subdue our sadness and tears as we carry forward in life with one of our best carried in our hearts.
The celebration of life was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday, December 10.
