Elizabeth Keller Moody, age 88, a resident of Fayetteville, Ga. died peacefully in her home on November 5th, 2018.
She was born in Greensburg, Kan. on August 10, 1930. She was the daughter of the late William G. and Myra Rose Keller. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelors Degree in Arts. She was a very talented amateur artist and a graceful pianist.
She was married on September 14th, 1957 to her surviving husband, Philip Moody, and they recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family.
Due to her battle with her Parkinson’s Disease she moved to Georgia from Colorado Springs, Colo. to be closer to her family. Her granddaughters even pursued healthcare professions as an RN and an MD and she was so proud of them.
She was a long time member of the First Christian Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. where she lead an active role in the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She also owned and operated United Employment with her husband.
She is survived by her husband Philip, her daughter and son-in-law Laura and Jeff Jurecic, her son Justin, her granddaughters Nicole Lacis (Oncology RN) and Lauren Miller, MD, her great-grandchildren Lila and Oliver Lacis and Madilee and Mason Miller, her brother William E. Keller and his wife Janice, and her nephews Kurt and Joseph Keller.
She will be laid to rest in Lenexa, Kan. alongside her family. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
