Charles Gordon Colson, 78, of Hampton, passed away June 23, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1940 to Kessler and Ruth Colson in Sandersville, Ga. He worked for and retired from Walker Concrete Company.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Splawn Colson.
He is survived by his daughters, Regina (Scott) Gray and Zondra (Wayne) Barber; son, Marc (Anita) Colson; grandchildren, Jake (Mikaela) Enfinger, Thomas Gray, Zachary Barber, and Hunter Barber; great-grandchildren, Rylan, Adalyn, and Braylon Enfinger; brother, Buddy (Anita) Colson; and sister, Sandra Colson and special friend, Jerry Landrum.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Pastor Kenny Snow officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Fayette County Humane Society, www.fayettehumane.org.
