Dear Fellow Pastors, Church Leaders, and Community Influencers:
Greetings and God’s blessings to each of you. The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints and the City of Fayetteville are co-sponsoring a Community Service Clean-Up Day on June 2, 2018. The goal is to assist the city of Fayetteville in its campaign against litter and demonstrate our support for the city’s effort.
The intent is to conduct the project from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. We will meet at the Lane Brown Gazebo in the downtown square (next to the fountain) and have a community prayer before starting out to areas designated for clean-up. We will go out in groups of 4-6. Youth and children under 18 must have adult supervision.
The city will provide trash bags and gloves. We are asking all participants to wear comfortable clothing with visible, bright-colored shirts. Bottled water will also be provided.
Clean-up routes will be assigned and distributed Saturday, June 2, based upon the number of respondents to this request. The more participants we have the more areas can be covered and the less time it will take.
If your organization is interested in participating, please contact Doug Waldorf at [email protected] or 404857-2133 and Fayetteville Mayor Edward Johnson at [email protected] or 770-856-3271. Please respond as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly.
Thank you in advance for your support and participation to beautify our community. May God bless you in your work.
Ed Johnson, Mayor
