Ruth Marie “Ruthie” Williams, 63, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at her home.
She was born in Fort Knox, Ky. on March 18, 1954 to the late Marion and Margaret Dobbs. She loved calligraphy and crocheting. Her greatest enjoyment was her work in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and she received The Wood Badge from the Boy Scouts in recognition of her support in their organization. Ruthie was also very active in the Democratic Party of Georgia.
Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Marion Robert Dobbs, Carl Dobbs and Paul Dobbs.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony “Tony” Williams and Robert and Candice Williams; her granddaughters, Katherine Williams, Amelia Williams, Elinor Williams, Juliette Williams; her grandson, Joseph Williams; her sisters, Margaret Ann Riley, Sally Edwards, Pat Bowen and Darlene Staskawicz; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Ruthie was at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville Chapel, with Dr. J. W. Wallis officiating. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.
