Surrounded by family and friends, Jeffrey Ray Rogerson, 54, of Atlanta, Ga., died peacefully, after battling a long illness on February 23, 2018, at Piedmont Hospital.
Jeffrey was born in Greenville, S.C., to Gail and Ray Rogerson on January 15, 1964. Jeffrey graduated from The University of Georgia in 1986 and earned his MBA from Georgia State University in1995.
Jeffrey was active in the Hot Atlanta Sunday Softball League for 30 years. He enjoyed golf, Sunday church services, time with his beloved animals, University of Georgia and Atlanta Falcons football, and time with his loyal circle of friends.
Jeffrey is survived by his spouse of 26 years, Daniel Cleveland; father, Ray Rogerson and his wife, Bonnie; brother, Greg Rogerson and his wife, Trina; his niece and nephews, and Oliver, Junior May Lynn, and Lil’ Bit. Jeffrey is preceded in death by his mother, Gail Rogerson and twin sister, Robin Rogerson Turner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 27, at 1 p.m. with services at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, located at 180 N. Jeff Davis Drive Fayetteville, Ga. 30214.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Jeffrey may be directed to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA.org) or the AIDS Research Consortium of Atlanta (arcatlanta.org).
