Suzanne (Sue) Backes, 69, of Peachtree City, passed away January 17, 2018 with loved ones by her side.
Sue was born in New York City to William and Joanne Kraft on December 9, 1948. She wore many hats throughout her life – a mom, a grandmother, a sister, a wife, a friend, a business owner, a volunteer firefighter/EMT for Peachtree City, and a community volunteer to name a few. Sue was happiest spending time with her family and friends, and always had an eye out to help others in need.
Sue is preceded in death by her parents, William and Joanne.
Sue is survived by her daughter Kelly (Robert) Ambrose of Fayetteville; son Chris (Laura) Backes of Peachtree City; five grandchildren Lauren, Sean, & Ryan Ambrose, Nicholas & Lilliana Backes; sister Nancy Pickard of Marietta, Ga.; brother Bill (Mary Ellen) Kraft of Marblehead, Mass.; nieces and nephews Laura, Amy, & Matt Pickard and Seamus & Liam Kraft.
A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at a later date. She will be truly missed.
