Lorene B. Couch, age 95

Lorene B. Couch, 95, of Brooks passed away on September 22, 2017.

She was born in Fayette County, Ga. on April 28, 1922 to the late Emmett and Elsie Bishop.  She was married to the late Melba Henderson Couch, Sr.

Mrs. Couch was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sons, Melba Henderson Couch, Jr. and Jessie “J.C.” Couch; and brother, George Bishop.

She is survived by her children, Mary Banks of Brooks, Wayne Couch of Brooks and George and Debbie Couch of McDonough; her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Couch of McDonough; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Doris O’Neal of Warm Springs; her brothers, Bobby Bishop of Moreland, James Bishop and Gerald Bishop, both of Hiawassee.

The funeral service for Mrs. Couch was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ga., with Rev. Rick Whitlock officiating.  The family received friends at the funeral home from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
