Holy Trinity’s Fr. John Murphy to speak at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran as part of reformation celebration

Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will welcome Father John Murphy of Holy Trinity Catholic Church to worship services Sept. 23-24. Fr. Murphy, who has served Holy Trinity since 2011, will speak on Saturday at 6 p.m.; on Sunday at 8:30, 10:50, and 11 a.m.

These special services are part of Christ Our Shepherd’s marking the 500th year of the Protestant Reformation, sparked when Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses (or propositions) at the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, on Oct. 31, 1517.

Upcoming events include: a Reformation Love Feast in Moravian Tradition on Oct. 1 at 11 a.m.; music by the OK Factor, a remarkable alternative folk duo, on October 8 at 8:30 and 11 a.m.; the second annual Palmetto Music Fest on October 14; worship at the church’s Palmetto Road campus on Oct. 15; family camping weekend Oct. 21-22; and festival worship at all services Oct. 28-29.
