8th-grader thanks all who help after disasters

After a hurricane, many people lose everything, but many get a smile put on their faces by other people like you and me.

After a hurricane, we can help to go clean their houses and property up. Why, you ask. It is because we know that some do not have anyone to turn to.

We have all seen how bad it is after a hurricane. Houses destroyed, fences lost, pictures, and sentimental treasures are gone. After you return to that, all you want is help and to know someone cares.

I think the courageous men and women who take off of their jobs to go help the helpless should get recognized for their helping deeds. Thank you for your time.
