Ghary Taylor Hartley, 79, of Fayetteville

Ghary Taylor Hartley, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away May 29, 2017.

She was born on October 24, 1937 in Montgomery, Ala. to the late Harvey and Zenia Taylor. She spent most of her life in Georgia.

Ghary was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church and was active in the choir for many years until mobility issues became problematic. The highlight of the year for her was being a part of their Living Christmas Tree Program.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Taylor; granddaughter, Jessica Hartley; and her parents.

Ghary leaves behind her husband of sixty years, Kent Hartley; son, Tim (Mary Ella) Hartley; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Reverend Ike Reighard officiating. Burial  followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
