Raymond Julius King II, of Peachtree City, Ga. (formerly of Brunswick, Ga.), entered the church triumphant on February 18, 2017.
He joins his wife Carole King, who went before him, on February 5, 2011. They met at Florida State University and they were married on December 27, 1964. Ray served 20 years in the United States Army and retired with the rank of Major. He earned two Bronze Stars during his service and was a Vietnam Veteran.
Ray is survived by a sister, Annie Mason; his three sons, Raymond J. (Jennifer) King III, Jonathan (Kari) King, Lyman (Mindi) King; and six grandchildren Dillan, Alexander, Devin, Michael, Kaitlin, and Kendall. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Rick Lyman and his partner, Karen Foltz.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to Shriner’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. At Raymond and Carole’s request, their cremated remains will be buried at sea in the late spring.
