Mrs. Mary Dews, 107, of Fayetteville passed away Friday, February 17, 2017.
Mary was born in Charleston, W. Va. on August 23, 1909 to the late Ida and Brady Watkins. She was married to the late Sidney Dews. Mary was a very active and sociable person. She was a member of the Parsonage Club, Bridge Club and Charleston Womens Improvement League. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Charleston. Seventeen years ago Mary moved to Fayetteville where she attended New Vision Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Eleanor Evans, two grandsons, Albert (Rhonda) Evans, Jr & William “Bege” Evans; five great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 22 at 6 p.m., New Vision Church, 479 Inman Rd., Fayetteville 30215. Visitation is 5:30 p.m.- 6 p.m.
