Minter Farm donated an 11-foot blue ice tree to the UDC, and so far $600 has been raised in ornament purchases. Each ornament honors a specific veteran.
Proceeds from ornament sales go to purchase crosses and medals for veterans for military service award programs.
You may purchase an ornament to honor any veteran for $10 up until Christmas Day by contacting Melissa Meyhoefer at 678-953-0238.
The tree is located at the American Legion Post 105 log cabin, 180 S. Glynn Street in Fayetteville. It is decorated in patriotic, red, white and blue.
