The period of Nov. 7-14 came with three burglaries and three entering auto incidents in unincorporated Fayette County.

Deputies near 2 a.m. responded to an alarm call on a Nov. 10 burglary at the Chevron Food Mart on Ga. Highway 92 North.

Sheriff Barry Babb said the front door glass was broken and the cashier’s area was found ransacked. A subsequent check of the store revealed that six cartons of Newport 100s cigarettes and three cartons of Salem 100s were stolen, along with a number of cigar wrapping papers, Babb said.

Security footage shows four suspects, said Babb. Those included:
– a black male, large build, a gray sweat jacket, dark pants and shoes with a purple t-shirt wrapped around his face
– a black male, medium build, wearing a mask, and wearing a black hoodie and dark pants and shoes
– a black male, medium build, wearing a black hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes
– an unknown male, slim build, wearing dark pants with a stripe, a black hoodie and dark shoes.

A Nov. 7 residential burglary on Wilmington Lane off Ga. Highway 314 occurred in the nighttime hours and was reported on Nov. 7.
Babb said an interior door to the garage was unlocked and a purse and car keys were removed from the kitchen counter.

A third burglary was reported on Nov. 12 at a residence on Dogwood Trail off Ga. Highway 74 North.

The resident sometime after returning home discovered that a bedroom window had been broken. Nothing was reported missing at the time of the report, Babb said.
Entering auto incidents were reported at three residences in north Fayette County on Nov. 14. Unlike customary incidents of entering vehicles, one or more of the vehicle doors at all three locations were found standing open.

The incidents occurred on Meredith Lane near Tyrone, North Fayette Drive off Ga. Highway 314 and on Carriage Oaks near Ga. Highway 279, according to Babb.

A total of five vehicles were entered, with residents at two locations saying the vehicles were unlocked and the resident at a third location saying he did not remember if the doors were locked, said Babb.
In all cases, at least one door on each of the vehicles was found standing open and, in all cases, nothing was missing, Babb said.
