Robert Stokely is the guest speaker for the Senoia Rotary Club meeting scheduled for Monday at 6:30 p.m. at Senoia Coffee and Cafe, 1 Main Street in Senoia.

His topic is “Seeking Peace in the Time of War.”

Stokely’s son, Sgt. Michael Stokely, was killed in Iraq in August of 2005. Almost a year after his son’s death he was tortured by the thought that he might die without ever seeing where his son fell. Stokely will share about his journey to where his son was killed.

Stokely was the former state court solicitor in Coweta County prior to being appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal as the Magistrate Judge in 2013. Mr. Stokely received his undergraduate degree from Georgia State University in 1976 and his J.D. from the Atlanta Law School in 1990.
