Paul Raymond Murphy, 78, of Fayetteville, passed away on September 19, 2016 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
He was born in Columbus, Indiana on November 17, 1937 to Clarence and Floa Murphy. He proudly served his country in the United States Marines. A former Captain, he flew for Eastern Airlines for 25 years. He was a hunter, loved playing golf and worked with the Georgia Division of the PGA. He was also involved with Fayetteville First Baptist Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, and survived by his wife, Peggy Murphy; his daughter, Sarah Murphy of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters; one nephew, two nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel, with Rev. Jim Thomas, Rev. Glen Stringham, and Rev. Jack Miller officiating.
