More than 500 people attended the “Fayetteville Will Never Forget” ceremony held on Sept. 11 on the grounds of the old courthouse. The faith-based event included prayers and comments from Christian, Jewish and Muslim speakers along with retired U.S. Army Gen. Jack Wheeler. Local choirs added to the patriotic atmosphere in which the community stood in solidarity while remembering the events of 9/11/2001. Photo/Ben Nelms.
